There Must Be Another Way

Greetings Radical Aliveness supporters, You are receiving this the day before the elections in the United States. I am thinking about all of us, not just in the United States but all over the world.

Division is everywhere.

And here I am in Israel and the West Bank with a courageous group of people; Ones who are willing to say- there might be another way, there MUST be another way. We will stay with our discomfort, we will stay with our not knowing, we will stay with our imagination and willingness to find the path to a new world.

One of my co-leaders has the John Lennon quote on her WhatsApp- ‘you may say I am a dreamer, but I am not the only one’. Yes, there are people all over the world, in the midst of wars, still coming together. Trying.

Oh my God the courage. The courage to face despair, to face the criticism that we are naïve, and we are foolish; that we know nothing. But can I tell you? If you met these people, you would not call them naïve or foolish. They are not denying anything, they are not in a pretend happy world, they are staying with each other under the most difficult of circumstances. I call them courageous; I call them magical humans; I call them the ones who refuse to take an easy way out.

As the sirens blare and the bombs fall- we meet, again and again- with broken hearts and tears and the belief that there MUST be another way.
